Production and post production

In terms of our shooting schedule, we mainly stuck to it in order to gather our footage. The audio for the interiew went particularly well with the participant talking freely, unaware of the camera which made it seem really natural. We had a few minor technical glitches when filming the interviews as we accidentally filmed over the top of some of our footage. Fortunately, these were only establishing shots which we are unlikely to need for padding anyway. Other than this, the whole process ran smoothly and we were pleased with the final footage.
When we entered post-production, it was here the issues began to arise. Using software which none of us had any experience with; a camera which was rejected by the Macs in school and footage which took almost two hours to upload from disk onto the hard drive. The whole thing turned out to be a lengthy process which is yet to be completed. However, in terms of storyboard vs. post-production compilation, we have stuck pretty much to what we planned.
Yet again we have encountered another glitch. I accidentally scratched the disk with the final portion of footage on it, what a knobber. I know right? Anyway, as a result if this, the computer won't play or capture the footage fluently so we are going to have to burn the footage again and work on it tomorrow.
Other than that! The post-production element is going quite well. We are happy with what we have compiled so far and look forward to completing the film by the end of the term.
